Befrox Printing System

Some of the injectors Befrox remanufactures go to customers who accept a part only with a label in their own standard.

Befrox Printing System
01Goal

Labels used to pass through a chain of Excel sheets and a separate printer program, and every number and code was copied by hand. Now the operator picks the part and the order, and the system creates the serial number and the code itself.

02Achievements
  • A 70 × 50 mm label with a DataMatrix code is built from the order data, and the operator sees it before printing.
  • Each of the two machines has its own serial number range, no number is ever repeated, and every one is logged to an Excel report.
  • A damaged label is reprinted with the same number.
  • Parts marked NOK get a label with an A, B, C or N condition grade without using up a new serial number.
  • The template editor places text, numbering, QR codes, Code 128 barcodes, DataMatrix and images in millimetres and pulls the data from an Excel or CSV file.
  • Labels go to the Zebra printer at their exact size, and a whole batch prints as one job.
